Actions saw a dramatic 50% decrease in failures. Achieved and maintained Quality Assurance Honor Roll for one straight year, zero failures. - Sought after determinination, led to the selection as Prime Nuclear Airlift Force Team Member. Rectified aircraft no-fly condition for an on-time departure and cemented Airlift's Wing highest Nuclear Surety Inspection rating.- Led maintenance recovery team to Seoul Air Base for an aircraft experiencing loss of engine oil pressure and compressor indication. Technical procedures placed an emphasis on the possibility of a faulty oil pump. After performing a detailed inspection, I made the discovery of a “missing” Axis J Gearbox Bearing as the root cause for oil pump failure which was not addressed in the Technical Orders and was quickly identified by engineering as the first anomaly of this type. Removed and replaced engine in minimal time, despite remote location, awarded unit “Superior Performer” for month of July 1999. Additionally, I was selected as an “Outstanding Performer” during the Apr 2000 Combat Employment Readiness Exercise, for my role as lead propulsion technician. Show less
