Responsibilities Operations Manager / Engineer: Responsible for all duties relating to the operation of Gaseng fuel facilities on Christmas Island. Including major maintenance, major repairs, gaining and maintaining statutory approvals, the management of design, construction and project management (including purchasing) of all new facilities and major capital items.Island Liaison: Facilitated and liaised with the Island Manager and Director(s) in regard to technical matters associated with all petroleum products, company equipment, new facilities and equipment, procurement of goods, customer requirements, product quality, staff training, obtaining mandatory approvals and staff safety. Managing Operational Procedures: Responsible for managing and implementing new work instructions and procedures as required. To produce and change operational scope documentation including, preparation of work instructions, work procedures and safe work method statements. Conducted all internal audits and the maintenance schedules for all on island equipment and worked with ISO9001 auditors annually and tri-annually to ensure Gaseng kept its ISO9001 accreditation. Project Management: Lead all new capital Commonwealth works projects including; managing design, budget estimates, procurement and prepared documentation associated with obtaining capital funds. Construction: On site construction supervision of specific trades ensuring construction time lines were meet. Purchased all equipment and ensured on time delivery to site.
