Technical lead for hybridisation and electrification within Cosworth ElectronicsTechnical lead in the BTCC hybridisation program. Working with a commercial team and technical third parties to spec and design an integrated 60V system in the current British Touring Car package. Through this I have developed skills in design and validation standards such as FMEA and DVP. Expanding on my electrification knowledge has also allowed me to advise and spec other hybrid and fully electric systems, both low and high voltage for other motorsport/high performance prototype applications.While working on this project with EMRAX (PMAC motor supplier), EMSISO (motor controller supplier) and Warwick Engineer Centre, I have gained in-depth knowledge in motor field-oriented control, field weakening and wide-band silicon power electronics. Allowing the correct components to be combined and setup together to give the 30kW required output.The system integration, CANOpen motor control and system calibration built upon my systems and low voltage electronics experience further broadening my electronics and application knowledgebase.

Customer support developing the Cosworth electronics product range while supporting the hardware engineering departmentEngineering and Customer SupportDuring this period at Cosworth I built up an in-depth understanding of engineering in motorsport, supporting series including FIA WEC, ELMS, IMSA and BTCC. Working in this customer facing roll, developing the Cosworth systems and assisting customers with technical queries and desired features allows a good balance of engineering and trackside experience. LMP2 WEC, ELMS and IMSA SupportAs Cosworth’s LMP2 technical lead I was responsible for updating teams with refurbishment schedules, software and hardware modifications. A large part of supporting this series is working with teams to diagnose issues both remotely and trackside. This involves working closely with chassis manufactures and other series suppliers, building professional relationships and having a good understanding of how all on car systems work together. 2017 Support with Visit Florida Racing LMP2After extensive involvement in building the initial 2017 Riley LMP2 car design and build, I was sub-contracted as the Cosworth Systems Engineer at Visit Florida Racing. Initially debugging the Riley electronics and wiring alongside systems engineering the car during race weekends and tests. Throughout this time my knowledge of both Riley and Liger LMP2 chassis increased massively along with the integration of Gibson engine, Xtrac/ Hewland gearbox alongside the Cosworth control and chassis electronics. This mixed support and engineering-based roll has also exposed me to other areas of motorsport including rally, America’s Cup boat racing and GT racing. Throughout this my willingness to learn and problem-solving mind-set have allowed me to adapt quickly to these different environments and provide the best support possible.

While employed by Ensign Security i worked with security engineers assisting with the fitting of alarm and lighting systems. These ranged from intruder alarms, access and IP phones to security tagging systems. I was also involved in testing these systems at regular intervals and repairing faults on a variety of access and lighting systems. Some of the tasks I assisted with, • Installation and fault finding of fire and security systems• Installing and testing of IP phone and access gate systems• Wiring control systems using CAT5 and 6• Working in a public environment fault finding and repairs
