Currently producing a new documentary short film on the healing power of listening scheduled to begin production 2024 in Hamburg, Germany. The film will feature interviews with volunteer listeners, academic researchers on narrative theory and practice, and with award-winning author Ulrike Draesner (Berlin) who writes beautifully about the importance of expanding narrative possibilities despite loss and trauma, and against cultural barriers of aging and ageism. The film will be presented in both English and German with subtitles. My goal for the film is to promote the importance and value of listening care for others in need of psychological, social and spiritual support, and to encourage viewers to consider their own creative opportunities and approaches to listening in various other locations and settings.As a registered psychotherapist and former hospital chaplain in rehabilitation and palliative care environments, listening to others is my passion and life’s work, and I would value deeply your financial support for this film project.Please be in touch to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
