Projects: ◼️ Data Privacy Admin Portal: > Spring API with per-brand curation and breach information from ML partner •• Refactored the monolithic syncing method into single responsibility consumer and provider methods, eliminating redundant data transfers and reduced data syncing time from 10 minutes to 30 seconds •• Created an email templating system in Spring that enabled clients to customize their data privacy requests and include marketing links •• Protected the syncing process from unexpected upstream changes by designing a new logging system with persistence and detailed records •• Fixed all Synk security issues by updating libraries, simplifying CI/CD process and correcting potential code vulnerabilities ◼️ Pet Food Finder: > GCP Flask API that recommends pet food based on client’s pet profile •• Refactored the recommendation logic to reduce complexity and enable more versatile use of the API as a widget data source •• Remodeled pet data from 3rd party to a local MySQL database, improving performance by 5x •• Implemented methods to reconcile data model mismatches from new partner to enable execution of recommendation requests with no partner changes ◼️ World Cup Vaccine Registry: > Modernizing legacy patient and doctor facing vaccine registry •• Rewrote the patient record storage and retrieval system to eliminate UI latency from data loading •• Improved the efficiency of the vaccination process by tailoring the workflow to doctor guidance and with added localization features like allowing four or more names and region specific addresses

Managing Software Development and Special Topics in Machine Learning •• Instructed students in new concepts using clear and concise live examples, led weekly standup meetings, and provided constructive feedback in code reviews and assigned grades for submitted projects.

Our lab's research focused on eye development and disorders of development (disease, adverse events, etc). I was primarily tasked with handling anything tech related for several projects.• Created an equation to determine how the growth of specific surfaces of the eye contributed to total eye shape• Designed and then managed research data in robust MySQL databases for faster time to publication and increased usability• Wrote scripts and full tools in MATLAB to expedite and automate work• Developed the first ever mathematical model of eye growth and published the novel findings as first author in prestigious journal (http://iovs.arvojournals.org/article.aspx?articleid=2296455)• Created visualizations (2d and videos) to show how the model of eye growth changes across time
