Yorkshire Housing are currently running a transformation programme which I have been seconded to full time since September 2016 in the role of enterprise/solutions architect. This function is one I have carried out in part in previous roles. It has allowed me to bring together almost 30 years of ICT and project management experience to ensure that the best solutions are selected going forward.In the role I have been engaged in producing technical debt analysis and application waste reports, options for solutions and option papers to help decide on the preferred solution.Carried out work to review legacy supplier contracts to ensure they are fit for purpose under GDPR regulations and with workable exit clauses. This involved negotiating with the third party suppliers and lawyers.Carried out work with third party to work out whole life costs for bidders solutions to give a cost per point when scoring bids.I have been engaged with suppliers in a competitive dialogue procurement process following OJEU regulations. A contract has been signed and the solution based on Dynamics 365 is currently being implemented to go live in the new year.I have received glowing feedback from all of the suppliers engaged. I was also nominated for a chief executives award for the quality of the work produced in very tight timescales.

I am responsible for the management of the ICT systems team and contractors working on systems related projects. I project manage the ICT elements of various projects. These have typically included migrating the main housing management system, upgrades, workflow developments to support a new customer service centre and business intelligence. I am currently working on a cloud readiness assessment and Office 365 implementation.Recently I have played key role in providing a new DR system, a new SQL Server environment, moving to Office 365 and on-line SharePoint.I play a key part in business relationship management, ensuring the business take managment ownership of their systems and to obtain better user buy-in of the sytems and the data held on them. This has also involved the setting up of two internal groups to set systems strategy, manage upgrades and develop a strategic roadmap for the systems.I create strategy documents to support the Yorkshire Housing plan and also to look at where technology is going in the future. At present I am working on a project called Fit for the Future, following work carried out with KPMG, that is trying to align the business with emerging technology and developing an ICT strategy to support the organisational plan.I was a key player in providing a mobile working solution for the neighbourhood teams, utilising iPads for neighbourhood officers and Motorolla MC75's for operatives. The latter will soon be replaced with Android devices. Windows devices are being rolled out to support our asset management team.
