The main function of the team is to provide Information Security Operations governance. To date, the main areas of focus for me have been to perform daily AV status checks, provision SSL certificates and to manage data retrieval for investigations both internal and for subpoena requests, usually under tight deadlines. The other main focal point has been vulnerability management in the form of assessing changes.The main responsibilities of the team include:- Vulnerability Management- Threat Management- Audit Operation- Security Incident Management- Data provisioning for Investigations- Risk Management- Malware Protection- Infrastructure Access Reviews- SSL Certificate Management- Security Consulting- Vendor Management

• Taking action on requests from all business units for network and systems access• Ensuring adherence to the ‘User Access Management’ Policy, and carrying out reporting on non-compliance• Provide guidance to business teams regarding generic account policies and standards• Ensuring adherence to the ‘Chinese Walls’ Policy• Generate reports for User Access Reviews as per documented policy• Advising and educating the business on security standards and policies• Reviewing and improving Security Administration processes• Participating in ongoing security reviews and audits and actioning associated items• Work with internal/external auditors for user access reviews and compliance checks. Use our tools to locate evidence of audit trails for IT access in question.• Conduct quality review on our team completing business access requests and report to senior management.• Identify, log and assess risk items in Archer assigned to our team (risk register system)• Manage escalated BAU requests through to completion• Train and mentoring new staff, and manage FTE’s for projects• Provide guidance to business on our teams requirements for new implementations of applications and databases, where access is managed by our team
