In March 2021, Composites One purchased the Process Material Business of Solvay and asked me to accept the Vice President and GM role in the rebranded Process Material Business now called Aerovac LLC. I have full P&L and strategic responsibility for the business. This both completed my career as General Manager of the Solvay Process Material business and begins my new relationship with Composites One.Prior to the purchase of the business, I worked in two roles within Solvay, which started in Novemeber of 2018 as first, the Process Materials Product Line Director, a strategic position, and 6 months later I was promoted to General Manager, Process Materials | Composite Materials GBU reporting to the Executive VP, Industrial Business Line. My specific tasks were to first, create a strategic model that would lead the division to profitability and second to find a new owner and lead a divestment process to sell the business.I am responsible for over 250 employees who focus on manufacturing, kitting and distribution of process materials to the composites industry. I continue to have full operational responsibilities including business growth, strategic direction, business partnerships and the P&L of seven distribution and manufacturing sites located in the USA and Europe. I bring 28 years of business development and business management experience in domestic and international composite markets. With special focus in the Aerospace, Defense, Industrial and Alternative Energy markets, My expertise expands to relationships and pursuit efforts located all over the world. My work history includes roles as President, General Manager, Sr. Vice President of Business Development and Business Development Manager. My experience includes increasing responsibility at Orbital ATK Aerospace Structures (formally ATK Aerospace Structures, and now Northrop Grumman), B4 Composites, Zoltek Carbon Fibers, Entec Composite Machines, Hydrospin, and Engineering Technology.Before joining Solvay, I served as Sr. Vice President of Business Development for AIM Aerospace, owned by Liberty Hall Capital. AIM, a 1300 employee business focused on the design and manufacturing of thermoset and thermoplastic composite structures for the Commercial and Military Aerospace industry.
