I have recently completed OPITO Offshore training in Stage 1 Rigging, Banksman/Slinger, BOSIET(with CA-EBS) Also valid medical & valid shoulder measurement certificate for working offshore, IWCF Level 1 and I'm now actively looking for work in the offshore Rigging/Banksman/Slinger field. preferably offshore but would also take onshore jobs to help me develop my work experience & fill in my logbooks so that I can progress & gain the relative experience in my above opito courses to move to Stage 3 & upwards.I have previously held responsibility for the planning, budgeting and implementation of work programmes relating to the on going maintenance of the Dubai Metro, and have accountability for the management of a team of 56, composed of engineers, team leaders, track technicians and cleaners. I have responsibility for ensuring that our standards and procedures are upheld, and compliant with external auditing, and I introduced the concept of a 35 day work plan, to ensure that our manpower deployment was best placed to meet the needs of the industry. I was also instrumental with getting International Industry Standard Thermit Welding procedure implemented in Dubai, the first in the UAE, and had a key role in stakeholder management of both the client and contractors. Previously I have worked in the British Railway industry for the past 12 years, one of the most tightly regulated and established industries of its kind in the world. Most of my experience has focused on the area of track and infrastructure maintenance. I have held a number of competencies over the years, in a range of disciplines, including Controller of Site Safety, Lookout and composite welding. I’ve also carried out some project work, including site surveys and vehicle/stock audits.I have also recently obtained the NEBOSH Practical Module in Occupational Health & Safety.
