I have experience in both retail and hospital pharmacy. I served as a pharmacy manager for 8 years in various Walgreens stores before transitioning to being a director of pharmacy at a critical access hospital. Through that experience, I learned of gaps in care between those two worlds and have a passion for seeing those gap close. Since pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals, I strive to equip retail pharmacists to have more clinical opportunities to intervene in patient care.After my time as a director of pharmacy, I served as a regional pharmacy manager and the VP of Pharmacy Management for PharmD on Demand. In those roles, I oversaw both hospital and retail pharmacy operations and staffing and dozens of facilities. I was tasked with the oversight of 340B programs within multiple covered entity types including critical access hospitals, disproportionate share hospitals, sole community hospitals, and federally qualified health centers. While overseeing these 340B programs, I helped multiple facilities navigate HRSA 340B audits and oversaw the development of corrective action plans for those audits. I also supervised the development and execution of Mock HRSA 340B audits for multiple CE types.Lastly, I will serve as the next president-elect of the Georgia Pharmacy Association where I hope to help further the advancement of the profession of pharmacy in Georgia!I am looking for my next adventure where I can use my unique experiences in both hospital and retail pharmacy, as well as 340B oversight, working with C Suites of hospitals, Electronic Health Record management, and high-level leadership.
