Selected as the implementation co-lead, reporting directly to sponsors of Aviation Safety (AVS) and Air Traffic Operations (ATO) and their Associate Administrators. Conducted surveys across FAA lines of business to develop a cost analysis and implementation requirements executive report. Completed all AVS related recommendations/actions on schedule. Established a program for the validation of software/automation tools used in the design of instrument flight procedures. Oversaw the development of instrument flight procedure design criteria software requirements specifications and validation software. Although the program was cancelled in 2012, the validation software was used to validate the FAA’s software for Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARS) and the software requirements specifications are continually updated to aid in the development and maintenance of instrument flight procedure design software.
