Robert Nathan is the Founder of Value Chain Ventures, an investment firm based in Boulder Colorado. Previously, Robert was the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Capstone Logistics. Prior to Capstone, Robert was the CEO and founder of LoadDelivered, a third-party logistics (3PL) firm in Chicago. In 2013, he founded Logistical Labs, a supply chain software startup that provides insights through data analytics and machine learning technology. Both LoadDelivered and Logistical Labs were acquired by Capstone Logistics in June of 2018.Under Nathan’s leadership, LoadDelivered evolved from logistics start-up to a Top 50 Freight Brokerage in North America while Logistical Labs emerged as a FreightTech 25 honoree and Inbound Logistics Top 100 IT Provider. Both companies were recognized in 2019 as Food & Logistics Top 100 Software and Technology Providers.LoadDelivered’s success can be attributed, in large part, to Nathan’s commitment to innovation. He has been instrumental in developing proprietary technologies including one of the first freight-matching mobile apps.In 2017, LoadDelivered landed on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for the fifth consecutive year. Additionally, they received their 3rd Crain’s Fast Fifty award, 4th Food Logistics Top 100 3PL & Cold Storage Providers award, and Transport Topics Top 50 Broker award in 2018. Nathan has become an industry thought leader and garnered multiple prestigious awards. He was named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ coveted “40 Under 40” list, an accolade which honors successful professionals who have climbed to the top of their industry before age 40. Nathan’s contributions to the supply chain community were honored by DC Velocity when they selected him—the youngest honoree ever—as one of their 2013 Rainmakers.
