Robert Nesbitt is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at RBC Dominion Securities. He has been providing financial advice to his clients for more than 30 years. Rob has earned the prestigious Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and the Canadian Investment Manager designations. He holds an individual discretionary license allowing him to offer specialized and tailored services to his clients. Additionally, Rob is also registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Counsellor, which enables him to deal with U.S. residents, a designation few advisors have. He has built his business on trust and close relationships and continues to operate within the Century Wealth Management team which manages over $1 Billion. Rob has also held positions as a spokesperson for both the Royal Bank of Canada and the Bank of Canada.Rob started his career in the investment industry with another competing bank while completing his Bachelor of Economics from Carleton in 1983. During his university years, he owned a successful internet systems integrator business; Infoline Research Inc. Rob concurrently worked as a consultant to the Bank of Canada for 15 years while also teaching finance courses at Carleton University for 5 years. Over the years, he has often been interviewed by The Ottawa Citizen, The National Post, The Globe and Mail, and numerous radio and television outlets.
