Individual contributor in a group designing and developing real-time software for the Bell Helicopter V-22 tilt rotor aircraft for the Vibration/Structural Life and Engine Diagnostics device, VSLED. Designed, developed and maintained real-time software for the Bell Helicopter BA609 tilt rotor aircraft in the Vehicle Management Simulation Integration Laboratory, VMSIL. Support Bell 429 fly-by-wire twin-engine helicopter.•Worked within program/project schedules and budget for generating and validating project estimates, for schedule coordination, for maintaining communication with supervisory staff, and for identifying issues that may impede the progress of a project.•Technical lead for the VMSIL facility. Mentor junior VMSIL engineers and software engineers.•Provided support for all of the hardware and software in the VMSIL which consisted of the Flight Control Systems bench, Avionics bench, Electrical bench, archive server, instrumentation server, reflective memory network, generic tilt rotor simulator, hydraulic rigs, cockpit rig and other VMSIL equipment.•Supported subcontractor software development remotely using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and JTAG debuggers on a NI LabVIEW test fixture controlling input and output for the embedded device under test.•Provided improvements and updates to VMSIL signal dictionary database and VMSIL configuration database to coincide with aircraft updates. Update VMSIL software to support VMSIL configuration updates.••Supported Bell-Boeing V-22 mid-wing avionics hardware and software update. •Supported Bell BA609 tilt rotor automatic flight control system, avionic systems, electrical system and hydraulic system updates.•Supported Bell 429 FAA certification of the Aircraft Data Interface Unit, ADIU.•Supported VMSIL operations to provide a safe and compliant test environment for the fly-by-wire Flight Control Computer used on the BA609 aircraft.
