As Manager of Engineering Standards for Deere & Company, I was responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, utilization and administration of standards affecting the John Deere product line worldwide.

Over my 44 years I worked in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Supervision and General Supervision, Value Analysis and Value Engineering and participated in several Union Contract negotiations in multiple factory units and at Corporate Headquarters.

In my last position I was responsible for Deere's internal standards portfolio and for all external standards, regulations and compliance requirements affecting Deere products in the global marketplace. I served in this position for 18 years. During this time I served as Chairman of the Board of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for 3 years (2006-2008) and as Chairman of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Technical and Safety Council. I also served as an advisor to the US Trade Representative as a member of the Industry Technical Advisory Committee on Standards. (ITAC 16).
