Established and maintained relationships with architects, building owners, developers and TRACO dealers to promote the use of Kawneer and TRACO products. Educated those same people on proper product selection, performance and installation. Provided CAD details, specifications, budgets, and performance data to ensure we maintained the integrity of the building envelope. Worked on many LEED projects by providing upfront assistance to the design team as well as LEED submittal data. Created and presented box lunch seminars to groups to provide continuing education credits. Managed TRACO dealer/installers in my area which included western PA, western New York and West Virginia.

Reported directly to the lead estimator and I was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our subcontractors to ensure we received the best possible prices for our projects. Prepared bids for this large commercial general contractor ranging from $300K to $17 million dollars. Worked in close association with owners, developers, project managers and architects as their projects developed. Created spreadsheets to help with material take-offs using Excel.

Responsible for all facets of project estimating, design drawings and contract preparation for this residential/light commercial general contractor.Specific functions included the following:Met with customers, architects and designers to discuss scope of project.• Visited each project to examine existing conditions.• Drew architectural plans elevations and details, locating HVAC, plumbing and electrical items utilizing SoftPlan software.• Obtained prices and lead times from vendors for plumbing, lighting and special items.• Provided detailed estimates of job including demolition, excavation, exterior and interior finishing. Generated bids utilizing HomeTech software.• Prepared contracts detailing scope of work utilizing WordPerfect and Windows Works software.• Prepared estimates for commercial buildings including a Meineke Muffler Shop and a retreat building for the Light of Life Ministries. These projects required taking off and pricing structural steel, steel joist, metal roofing, metal studs, concrete, masonry, plumbing, electrical and other required materials
