I joined the Air Force with a goal set on Satellite Communications and Data Networks. I passed the credentials to be accepted into the Space Communications Systems Control Specialist career field. This allowed me to explore the world, learn about satellite communications (satcom), gain notoriety for my achievements, and set allot of future goals for myself. Tactical satcom was fairly new to the Air Force when I came in so I got a chance to see and work with all the new cutting edge equipment and was involved with numerous design engineers in developing these new network architectures that at some places like Korea, are still part of the core routing structure used today. Now as a Senior Satellite Communication Engineer, I am still affiliated with the military and work as a contractor at a fixed base satellite regional facility that provides vital communications using the latest IP-Centric systems to our soldiers in the field worldwide but would someday like to teach and pass on the knowledge and experience I have gained to others that have the same passions and goals I had when I started out in life.

After only 3 months on station, was contacted by Engineering Solutions and Products (ESP) and offered a position to join them that I couldn't refuse. Just wanted to imply that comment to clarify any confusion. -
