I am a Supply chain professional with over 25 years experience in the garment and footwear industry. I manage and develop my Supply team in a fast paced environment in order to achieve an outstanding customer experience. I have a wide range of skill sets which include managing 3rd party suppliers, hauliers , shipping agents, lead project management across departments, sourcing, purchasing and production control.I have previously lived and worked in China for 5 years which contributed to my all round knowledge and experience of end to end manufacturing, managing suppliers and the production process.As with all supply chains, ESG is extremely important when it comes to selecting and appointing suppliers to produce your valued product. Within my role I have built a robust onboarding process that ensures that our suppliers are aligned to our business values and principles and not just a tick box exercise.I manage the business S&OP process and continue to develop and enhance through systemisation of the process and data intelligence. The key being to ensure we have the right amount of product, at the right time, at the right place. Optimising stock levels and cash flow.I have many key stake holders that I support and work very closely with within my role. It's important that we are aligned on how I can support their strategy as well as the wider business. I lead various weekly meetings to facilitate this process which are across product, development, sales and event planning, finance and warehousing. I also have a responsibility for our HMRC, customs compliance and management. I have implemented customs warehousing and duty management software into the business which drives cash flow efficiency as well as savings where goods are re exported under duty suspension.I also have a responsibility to build resilience within the supply Chain with a continuous review of our suppliers, sourcing countries as well as managing any risk associated and ensuring we have the right capacity to support future growth.
