I made the decision to go self employed and contract myself out, I have been working at an IT company since March 2021.The type of work is a very low IT standard, this suits me as I am more about mechanics, I enjoy technology and how it can make our lives better.My true passion is 3D printing, from building my own printer to constantly trying to improve how it works. My knowledge is all self learnt, trail and error, but for me, that's the best way to learn.

This position involves maintaining bespoke machinery within the customers site.This is a very challenging role, no two days are the same. The machinery runs for approximately twenty one hours a day, six days a week, meaning that down time must be kept to an absolute minimum.I have played a big part in upgrading one of the machines on site, designing, testing and modifying parts until the customer was happy with the machine performance.I have also contributed to the sites overall performance, helping raise the site from the lower part of their inter company league to fighting for the top position.In the short time I have been here I have proved to myself that I can adapt to new environments, especially having worked in one industry for such a long time.

In my time at Oyster Communications I progressed to senior service engineer managing their largest Sharp UK account in Birmingham.I built up a superb relationship across the account, providing excellent customer service which helped to build the account and maintain it for over 20 years.The company ethos was all about customer service, we believed that the extra mile was always worth travelling.I was responsible for the general day to day maintenance of the equipment, networking and scanning to email, upgrading existing devices and advising potential new customers.I also attended awards ceremonies as a representative of Oyster Communications, we sponsored a category for best customer service and it was my responsibility to hand out the award.

I initially joined Total Office Products as an assistant to a senior sales man. I was responsible for getting him to and from appointments, delivering small office equipment. I attended sales meetings and product training, mainly focusing on the features and benefits to potential buyers.I progressed to the workshop as an engineer.My duties were setting up new equipment, refurbishing second hand equipment, installing all the equipment and carrying out full operator training.I advanced to a field service engineer, carrying out routine maintenance's as well as equipment repairs.
