Contract work for a small early stage startup. Duties included work on IaC, research and software development using Golang. Work on API based solutions for automated builds of customer AWS environments. Researched solutions for cloud integration with products. Worked with GitHub pipeline and actions to automate building and releasing software. Worked with Kubernetes locally and in other environments as the product was built to be Cloud Native. Software development client and server side using Golang. IaC automated using Pulumi behind GRPC apis triggered by internal and external clients. Used Ansible for PoC related to research to build out and manage hosts.

Interest in the long term goal of working in the medical field led me to become certified as an EMT in the state of California and work in the Los Angeles area. Responsible for patient care including transport, communications, monitoring, and rendering aid as needed. Non-patient duties include maintaining paperwork, upkeep related to ambulance and other work areas, and training.

Projects centered around Kubernetes running both on datacenter and cloud.Tooling experience in domains of configuration management, monitoring, alerting, security and ci/cd.Team developed, launched and managed tens of Kubernetes clusters across global regions.Worked with internal teams to integrate 3rd party cloud with internal offering.

Part of creating and improving deployment tooling and continuous deployment processes. Introduced tooling for Docker reducing cognitive load on engineers when building and maintaining services. Worked on migration of applications from using Chef to Vault for secret management.

Planned and implemented full text search across our cloud and data center, saving our engineers a lot of time and exposing many faults that had been unnoticed. Implemented Kibana and Graphite based solution for metrics and dash boarding which allowed us to make wiser decisions based on real data about our applications and machines. Helped retool and fine tune our client tier load balancing such that it was more robust and allowed us to scale horizontally much easier.
