Career Highlights: as a “float Registered Nurse” at Laguna Honda Hospital, with 39 wards, from 3 acute patients to 10 sub-acute patients and up to 30 residents, I am able to work on a ward on that day what regular Registered Nurses need 3 days or more of orientation.Licenses: California and Texas Board of Nursing, Active and unencumbered Education: BSN, DMC, Dipolog City. Clinical Skills Summary: Systematic assessment to determine the health-related needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary team, prioritization, anticipating potential complications, and evaluated care outcomes.Provide care to one patient (ICU dialysis) to 3, 8 or 30 residents including palliative protocol. Catheters, G-tubes, intravenously, im, subcutaneously, intradermally, rectally, total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and through dialysis machines medication regiments. G-tubes, wound vacs, central catheters, peripheral IV’s, JP drain, Tracheostomy and Dialysis machines care and maintenance. Education to patients/families on health care needs, conditions, management and options. Critical Information protocol on manual and electronic data. Establishing rapport in all level including special needs children and their families. Providing specialized care per protocol across different specialties. Precepted staff nurses in areas of patient care, policies, and procedures with demonstrated leadership skills. Provided a broad range of general and specialized nursing care services in areas of vital signs, phlebotomy, catheters, feeding tubes, IV, central lines and dialysis including anticoagulant management. Recommended and implemented changes to the Medical unit regarding assignment delegation and prioritization, that resulted in a higher standard of patient care. Prioritized and delegated assignments, contributing to a higher standard of patient care and staff retention. Occasionally delegated to work as charge nurse in Laguna Honda Hospital. Worked in remote areas in the pacific northwest.
