Over the past year as a building cadet I have been acquired relevant experience into large scale construction, dealing with multiple contractors. Gaining skills in material estimation (quantities), construction techniques, management of trades and determining the scope of tendered contracts relevant to a project. One major achievement is the managing of the site structural elements at Rivera Townhouses Pagewood. Elements include slab on ground, load bearing footings, edge beams, up-turn walls, and reinforced concrete suspended slabs. Liaising with Council and Engineers throughout the process.

Working within the Sydney area in Australia. I Have worked in the construction industry for more than a year and I have gained experience in various skills/tasks such as carpentry, estimating, steelfixing, waterproofing, concreting and tiling. I have assisted in completing works on two renovations, and 2 new home dwellings. In addition a large Childcare centre located in Bonnyrigg. The Childcare consists of a ground floor and second level with an on site car park. Second level of the childcare is constructed of reinforced concrete suspended slab. This position has helped me gain relevant and beneficial experience in the construction industry.

USG Boral Smeaton Grange, I worked using electric trolley picking orders using picking slip. Each picking slip had the quanities needed plasterboard sheets, ceiling suspension systems, steel framing, insulation, cornice, finishing plasters and ahesives. Each plasterboard sheet is packaged in a way to be stable during delivery and easy to lift/crane on site.
