CCJPA provides oversight of the Amtrak operated service, provides oversight of the rail fleet, and delivers capital projects in close partnership with the Union Pacific Railroad. The State-Amtrak Intercity Passenger Rail Committee (SAIPRC) is a multi-agency body created by Congress whose members include 20 agencies in 17 states, Amtrak, and the Federal Railroad Administration.
