Main areas of service are in commercial and contractual matters. This extends to reviewing and reporting on Contract and Sub Contract conditions, for clause content, scope definition and work segregation, at the tender stage as well as Commercial Management in the construction phase. In the role of commercial management Robert has assisted with the drafting of Sub Contracts to ensure back to back provisions. In the post contract phase he has assisted in the preparation of arguments in support of entitlement to re measurement, variations and rate enhancement.Considerable experience has been gained in claim preparation, dealing with delay analysis for extensions of time and the recovery of the loss and expense incurred, acting on behalf of both contractors and sub contractors. This role has often extended to claims management with the legal team where the client is kept fully informed of developments and advised on potential strategies and their possible outcome, the aim being to minimize cost and achieve realistic results in the most economic time. Robert has also acted as an Expert Witness in arbitrations. In house seminars on Contracts, Sub Contracts, programmes, contract administration and claims have been undertaken. Robert has international experience having worked in the UK, USA, Germany, Middle East, India, Australia and South East Asia in general, being based in Singapore for 20 years. The range of clients extends to Australian, American, European, Japanese, Korean and Singaporean. In working with these Contractors and Sub Contractors the work variety has involved a broad cross section of large civil works, civil works, tunneling, multi storey buildings, petrochemical work, mining industry work, pipelines and specialist foundation work.
