About Robert Parker

Following an unexpected inheritance of an historic house in Lancashire in 1975 the heritage industry has been central, but not sole part of my career and experience. Over 40 years Browsholme Hall has developed from decay to a thriving family home and attraction with a business that includes day visitors, 70 weddings, corporate use and recently accommodation. This business acumen has been cultivated from my experience as managing director of a highly diversified auction and salesroom with a £7m turnover. This portfolio career also extends to being consultant technical adviser to the Historic Houses advising its 1620 members throughout the UK.
