I served over 30 years in the U.S. Army because I took great pride in serving people as part of a values-based, disciplined organization. In doing so, I discovered that my true passion is fulfilled when I exceed your expectations of me. I am a Human Resources (HR) Specialist, currently employed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA).I have experience in Army Law Enforcement and Security Program Management with significant leadership experience in successfully executing complex objectives, at all organizational levels. I exercised management over large workforces, with a formal subordinate structures, headed by supervisors and leaders of multiple levels. I have written and enforced policy and was the principal advisor to two Army Colonels who served as City Manager equivalents, as well as a third who served as an Executive Director of Safety and Security. I have over five years experience managing 85 different customer facing Army programs that directly supported the mission, health, morale, and well-being of Service Members, Veterans, and Families in two military communities. I also have 22 years experience with programs within the Army's Human Resources community such as awards and recognition, evaluations and performance counseling, recruiting and retention, onboarding, and training. My experience is supported by a Master of Science in Leadership and a Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR).
