To transform our areas of planted ancient woodland with mainly Larch and Beech to a mixed habitat of native trees and restore the ancient woodland habitat and enhance biodiversity. Our second purpose is to encourage a much wider visitor profile targeting local populations where health and wellbeing outcomes are in the lowest percentiles. In doing so increase visitors awareness of benefits of the woodland environment and factors affecting biodiversity and the wellbeing of the whole woodland.
