After graduating from GA. State University I pursued a marketing career in the tire industry. Working at Maxxis International I started as a Marketing Coordinator and advanced to a Marketing Specialist. In this position I was in charge of the North America Bicycle Marketing (advertising, sponsorship, assisting with development, catalogs, trade show organization, and all marketing related POs) which accounted for $1.8 million of the annual budget. After working at Maxxis I felt a calling to instruct others so I attended North Georgia College where I earned my teaching certificate. After teaching math in middle school I became a co-op at Polytron for the summer. Needless to say I enjoyed the work and environment so much that I became a permanent employee.
