With over a decade of experience in the field of radiation therapy and dosimetry, I have had the privilege of taking on various roles that have shaped my career journey. Starting as a Staff Radiation Therapist, I spent four years honing my skills before being promoted to Lead Therapist. However, my trajectory took a significant turn when the Chief Physicist recognized my potential and invited me to transition into the realm of medical physics. Embarking on this new path, I underwent training and successfully passed the CMD exam. In March 2021, I joined Varian Advanced Oncology Solutions (AOS) as a Staff Dosimetrist, where I continue to leverage my expertise in treatment planning and radiation oncology. My career has seen me rise to the role of Chief Dosimetrist, where I have taken on responsibilities as a project manager for the AI Rad Companion program developed by Siemens. Furthermore, my passion for education has led me to engage in teaching and mentoring aspiring Dosimetrists. In recognition of my dedication and contributions, I was honored to be promoted to Dosimetry Manager this past January.
