I started my policing career on frontline policing duties. Working in one of the most densely populated and ethnically diverse areas in Europe I quickly expanded my skills and abilities in dealing with people from all backgrounds.I moved to a specialist role within Roads Policing, attending and investigating collisions from minor bumps to major incidents on strategic road networks, and where people suffered life changing injuries, and fatalities. I further developed my skill set by becoming a first class Police advanced driver and qualified in Pursuit Management. I was also qualified to drive personnel carriers and armored vehicles in addition to driving off-road.I have secured convictions following complicated and lengthy investigations of road deaths and other criminal matters.I also qualified as an Authorized Firearms Officer, deploying to spontaneous and pre planned firearms operations, with all the challenges that entails. I received training in counter terrorism tactics alongside Military Special Forces and have participated in security operations offering protection to Royal and Diplomatic visiting dignitaries.I took on further roles including Operational Planner. In this role I was responsible for ensuring Policing operations and events were appropriately resourced, ensuring the safety of all involved, both police and public.As a Community Engagement Officer I delivered presentations to new and prospective drivers on road safety. Using my experience and knowledge of Roads Policing I joined project development teams to introduce new online systems to record and investigate collisions.I introduced processes for investigating high volumes of collisions and improving public contact.
