Provide executive management in the administration of SSA’s Ticket to Work Program. The Ticket to Work and Self Sufficiency (Ticket) program was created in 1999 to provide Social Security disability beneficiaries the choices, opportunities and support needed to become and stay employed, increase their earnings, and eventually leave and remain off benefits by being fully self-supportive. Responsibilities include the planning and administration of all budgetary, contracting/grants, policy, marketing, systems initiatives, and operational aspects of the Ticket program in support of the Associate Commissioner. I conduct communication and outreach to domestic and international peer and stakeholder organizations including the National Employment Network Association, Council of State Administrators for Vocational Rehabilitation, Office of Management and Budget, House Ways and Means, International Organization of Rehabilitation Professionals, International Social Security Association, and others.

Direct a disability claims processing unit consisting of clerical staff, disability examiners, and managers in support of state disability agencies and to address claims remanded to reduce hearings backlogs. Develop and implement processes and procedures to maximize office performance including the enhancement of quality and to increase productivity. Negotiate workload support with regional federal and state partners. Develop performance metrics to measure workload productivity, timeliness, and quality. Identify workload thresholds, align proper resources to workload demands, and identify and procure proper training and staff development. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage discipline.

2010 to May 2012 - Homeless Outreach and Research Coordinator in the Office of Program Development and Research. I coordinate outreach activities with federal, state, and local homeless service providers to develop methods to increase access to mainstream benefits. I develop and manage research projects designed to evaluate statistical data for SSA homeless claimants. I serve as the SSA representative for the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness subcommittee meetings for the Veterans Signature Initiative and Research subcommittees. 2004-2010 - Contracting Officer's Technical Representative. I developed and managed research projects and conducted and drafted analytical papers for executive staff for issues concerning SSA's disability program. I briefed SSA executives, congressional staff, and public stakeholders on issues relating to SSA research activities.

Provide direct supervision to a disability adjudication unit consisting of 8 disability examiners and two clerical staff. Responsible for establishing and meeting productivity goals for adjudication of 5,000 disability claims with a quality assurance goal of 97% acccuracy annually.

Disability adjudicator for Social Security Disability claims. Obtain all medical and non-medical evidence; evaluate claims in accordance to SSA policies and regulations; and make determinations to award benefits.
