● Created CNC cutting files for various components required to assemble catamarans● Created installation and manufacturing drawings● Designed various custom stainless steel deck fittings● Designed fibreglass components including the moulds and laminating schedules● Assisted in the designing of yacht interiors● Assisted the production department in completing of projects● Coordinated the various departments involved with the production of 50ft catamarans● Coordinated with service providers and suppliers to ensure correct product application and installation● Ensured third party equipment was installed correctly● Oversaw the design department● Ensured client requirements were correctly implemented during the design phase ● Ensured product improvements were correctly implemented● Approved construction drawings for production● Implemented and carried out quality control● Designed a suitable quality control protocol for critical components● Ensured the correct installation of critical components such as bulkheads, engines, steering and fuel systems● Worked with service providers to ensure outsourced components were manufactured according to specifications ● Worked with the procurement department to generate a complete bill of materials for each yacht

I am responsible for all the engineering design work required and to ensure the work is carried out correctly and to the correct standards and quality. I use CAD and CAM software to generate the necessary cutting programs for our CNC lathe and milling machine. Furthermore, I work on developing and improving our manufacturing methods and to expand the business to supply more sectors in the industry.

I am part of the design team where some of my responsibilities include:• Doing design changes on all boat models• Design various parts for new boat models• Prepare and issue installation and manufacturing drawings for existing and new boat models• Prepare Bill of MaterialsFurthermore, I assist the production team in:• Designing jigs and supporting equipment• Provide on-site production support and problem solving• Liaise with other departments within the company and suppliers to ensure the necessary parts are delivered in time

o Assist in the designing of cranes and other required components to client specificationso Liaise with contracted engineer about above designs o Assisted structural engineer with structural load calculationso Generated 3D models and working drawings using Inventor 2012o Carried out quality control of the work carried out following the design process
