As a CFO, Controller and consultant , I have extensive experience in accounting, finance, Security and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) financial reporting, Sarbanes Oxley compliance (“SOX”) and strategic planning in diverse industries including software, SaaS, hardware manufacturing, medical technology and global communication services. I bring proven ability in publicly traded and development-stage companies to improve operations and impact business growth. My qualifications are strong in technical accounting analysis under GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), investor relations, financial planning and analysis, technology systems design and implementation and staff development, coaching and leadership. Less than two years after completing my MBA at Texas A&M, I became CFO of a small publicly traded company going through a difficult turnaround. That was a true learning experience. A few years later I again became CFO of publicly traded medical technology spin-out after I negotiated a private equity investment. This instilled a career-long pursuit of financial statement credibility by consistently improving financial reporting systems while engaging and acting upon stakeholder feedback. I learned to think globally and strategically, and still act tactically influencing change across an organization.My early CFO experience has led me to positions and consulting engagements ranging from start-ups such as iStream Technologies, a business process management company specializing in regulatory compliance, to world-class level Apple where I advised a high transaction volume stock compensation team and managed accounting and related 10-Q and 10-K financial disclosure and technical accounting assessments. I have strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial data in easy to understand business terms.
