I held the position of Operations Manager at the Club at the Ivy which is a private member's club in the heart of the West End. I continue to oversee closely the duties I held as General Manager however, my responsibilities have expanded to include running the behind the scenes operations of The Club, overseeing the day to day management and welfare of all 90 staff members and ensure financial targets are being achieved.I monitor the club's financial performance on a week by week basis and plan the future forecasting and budgeting. I ensure all health and safety and fire regulations are adhered to and also spend a lot of time building and maintaining customer relationships. I report directly to members on the board of Caprice Holdings.During the summer of 2017 I organised, and project managed a £150k refurbish of the interior of the club and due to the success of last year, I am currently in the process of putting together a proposed schedule of works for this coming summer.

My role at this stage was to oversee the smooth running of all aspects of the club on all three of its floors both front and back of house. The role was very staff orientated, during service times I would oversee the running of service on all 3 floors, liaising with the chefs and junior managers to ensure tight and sleek service with customer knowledge and attention to detail being second to none. My daily responsibilities included:- Recruitment - Solely responsible for all recruiting at The Club, and I have developed a thorough training program to help employees maximize their achievements. - Staff Rota - On a weekly basis I compiled the staffing rota for a team of 35, and manage all holiday requests, sick days etc. - Member Liaison - As the General Manager it is my responsibility to familiarize my self with all members, especially any VIPs/top customers. Discretion is of the up most importance, for the full Club team, it is my prerogative to ensure each guest enjoys a quality experience during every visit.- Payroll - Manage the payroll and service charge operations for all of the front of house team, processing over 60 people's pay and salary's, on a fortnightly basis, including being tasked with working out the proportion of service charge each member of staff is due to receive within their pay packet.- Computer Systems - Confidently working with the Fourth Hospitality computer program for all staffing requirements and ensuring a good knowledge of F and B shop for day to day ordering and stock takes. - Management Meetings - Taking an active role in brainstorming new ideas for the Club, responsible for meeting targets and budgets and problem solving across the board

As Club manager I was responsible for ensuring the club ran smoothly on a shift by shift basis. I would have to do tasks such as staff allocations, rota's, stocktake and ordering.Training was a big part of this role and I would have to focus on getting the whole teams food and drinks knowledge to a very high level and also focus on teaching the team about attention to detail and customer recognition.
