Programmed an application in EXCEL with VBA to calculate the asphaltene phase envelop over Pressure, Temperature, and GOR by the ASphaltene InStability Trend (ASIST) model. Developed a resource constrained project schedule program based on priority rule heuristics in EXCEL with VBA to schedule hydrate mitigation actions during both planned and unplanned shutdowns. Reviewed the flow assurance philosophy for two brown field assets and provided recommendations to address risks in the current operating strategies.

Key Responsibilities: Managed the flow assurance scope of work on operating deepwater (DW) oil fields, specifically Blind Faith and Tahiti, and major capital projects (MCP) in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM). Provided technical support on oilfield production chemistry (e.g. asphaltenes, hydrates, and scale), multiphase hydraulics, process engineering, and operations. Interfaced with multidisciplinary teams on the complex flow assurance challenges of DW subsea assets.Key Highlights: Developed a 12 day training program for control room operators on the subsea SOPs. Trained over 10 operators on start up, shutdown, and compliance testing. Revised the asphaltene management philosophy for Blind Faith based on field data and laboratory experiments. The modified strategy resulted in an OPEX reduction of approx. $1 million annually. Extended governmental (BOEMRE) safety regulations on SCSSV leak tests (30 CFR 250.804) for dry tree wells to subsea tree oil wells. Acquired BOEMRE alignment with methodology and standardized Company’s GoM operations to the new technique. Improved the qualification process of low dosage hydrate inhibitors for Company’s GoM developments by incorporating best practices on chemical qualification from other business units. Implementation of process reduced risk of exceeding oil and grease specifications and toxicity specifications in produced water discharges. Designed the valve rating, inherent characteristics, and inherent rangeability for subsea chokes. Managed flow assurance scope of work as the Flow Assurance Lead for the Blind Faith Artificial Lift Project (a brownfield MCP). Oversaw field operations including commissioning of chemical systems and pigging. Performed a mass balance on zinc based completion fluids in the reservoir to forecast the concentration of zinc in produced water.

Programmed an Excel based tool with VBA to generate bid / proposal level cost estimates for the processing facility downstream of a fluidized catalytic cracker.
