Group Leader
Current• Consistently ensure that groups of 45-65 associates within the Trim & Final Assembly section are trained and in constant compliance with standard work processes of assembly, safety, quality control, and delivery. • Skillfully coordinate and enforce line balance changes, quality control parameters and countermeasures, and safety when speed changes are implemented within the department. • Provide the necessary resources and training for team members to succeed in meeting all job elements and objectives including Quality Control (Internal, External, DPV, DR), Safety, Down Time, Scrap (Cost), Man-Hours, Equipment Failures and PM, and Environmental / Recycling initiatives. • Utilize a wide range of management tools to proactively identify and address concerns within manufacturing operations. • Guarantee that Work Instructions, training records, and other vital documents adhere with ISO guidelines. • Administer reinforced discussions, training, PIPs, and action plans to staff that reenforces accountability. • Mentor and train new hires and / or promoted Group Leaders. • Developed and regularly improved standardized materials Kanban delivery routes for fork truck and motruck. • Conduct semi-annual inventory to maintain optimal stock levels of products in Warehouse, Trim & Final Assembly, and Body Shop departments.• Member of Core Team representing Trim & Final Assembly in the major transition from the Kronos timekeeping system to the ADP WFM system in 2022-2023.• Maintained the best safety record in the entire Trim & Final Assembly section for the past 2 years running.• Oversee that daily time keeping records are accurate using the Kronos system • Awarded the 3S3D Champion Award for having a group with the best 3S3D Kaizen activity out of 8 Groups.
