A broad-ranging role. Primarily looking after the Arrow Energy wellfield maintenance side of the contract.The role included managing the Field Asset Technicians, encompassing all facets of field servicing from ensuring stock levels were maintained through to picking parts, issuing work orders and ensuring correct pick slips on a per well basis. Entering timesheets, maintaining and implementing a spreadsheet with current well information.During the absence of a site coordinator/supervisor, my role also included running daily toolbox meetings, ensuring the Dalby workshop was compliant with legislation relating to lifting, electrical test and tag, fire extinguishers and that tools sent to sites were calibrated where necessary.

In this role, I was in charge of ensuring that the Field asset technicians were always provisioned and that stock levels were maintained. This included placing orders to our suppliers in the USA through the Ariel web system, ordering through CAT SIS and importing components from Bucks and WPI, organising and managing the warehouse and its day to day running. The role also included dealing with customer orders from inside the oil and gas industry; Arrow Energy, AGL QGC and delivering short notice supplies to customers sites. It was a rewarding career which enabled me to gain invaluable knowledge of the oil and gas industry, make new friends and meet customers face to face.

Counter sales and parts Interpretation for a forward thinking local company. Specialising in small engines, mower parts, mowers and general irrigation fittings. This role enabled me to hone my knowledge of small engine parts and operations. It involved counter sales to the general public of small engine componentry, checking in of stock and controlling serial numbers and warranty information.

Having come fresh from being a subcontract flooring installer this break was a turning point in my work life. It enabled me to move into the automotive industry. This enabled me to learn about inventory control in a busy environment. It later let me get experience dealing with customers and suppliers in a face to face environment. The skills that I learnt at QDS have proven invaluable in moving my career forward.
