As an undergraduate researcher, I work with composite materials, studying how various curing cycles, environments, and curing materials affect their mechanical properties. I record the progression of submerged specimens, testing the effects of corrosion on carbon fiber samples; I participate in impact and tensile testing of samples; and I help with manufacturing tasks that require knowledge and skill with machining tools. Currently, I am involved in a project dealing with hygrothermal testing, where specimens are loaded in three point bending while submerged in fluids.

As a mail room clerk, I was responsible for the daily sorting and delivery of letter mail for over 600 students, including receiving packages into an electronic inventory system. On a weekly basis, I also completed package inventory reports and every academic quarter I created a schedule for the mail room clerks in my dormitory area. In addition, I was responsible for training new staff members.

As an intern at Peet's Coffee, my main responsibilities pertained to the new Single Serve line that had just recently been installed. I organized the maintenance parts for the new machinery both physically and in an online system and helped developed Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs). In addition, I developed a document that made readily available all the standard settings in the machinery for each coffee recipe.
