I am a UX Research and Experience Designer with a background in the legal industry. In my role, I acted as point of care on client intake, record keeping and court filing. Client intake provided me with the opportunity to truly empathize with and get to know the client behind the case. Record keeping kept my organizational skills sharp and court filings really taught me about the nature of processes and how it intersects with daily life. After some time in this field, I wanted to focus more on the client, and felt natural to move into user experience design. Incorporating both my legal specialty and creativity, I want to build satisfying product experiences and solutions. The law field, much like the medical field, is still largely trying to catch up in the digital age. Courts are just starting to employ digital platforms in the face of the Covid Crisis and had even struggled to integrate before that. Being able to experience first hand the ensuing conflict with the old guard and the new, has given me insights into bridging that gap.Now I want to apply my knowledge and skills to improve the decision making process. I’ve always focused on delivering what my client wants, and this user-centric philosophy is what led me to user experience design. My key skills include:• User Research (Competitor Analysis, User Interviews, Data Analysis)• User Flows• Prototyping• Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq• Personas• Usability TestingFeel free to contact me for full-time opportunities in New York.
