I am an industrious and resourceful scientist with a passion for developing methods to link samples of forensic interest to a specific geographical area. Geochemical fingerprints of samples of interest can be determined using a variety of techniques including trace element analysis and stable and radiogenic isotope analysis. By linking the chemistry of an unknown forensic sample to the spatial chemistry of a geographical region you can start to build up a picture of the origin and migration of that sample and statistical analysis and GIS can be used to clearly present that information. Specialties: Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS, IR-MS), Cavity Ring Down Spectrometry, analytical and forensic sample preparation, Good Laboratory Practice. The data was then modelled (using R and ArcGIS software) against geographical, geological and climatic variables in order to interpolate the values into a GIS based spatial prediction model (Isoscape) for the Middle East.
