Robert has published ten books on teaching, learning and assessment and has led over 2000 training days on this agenda for schools and colleges from all sectors and phases. He led a previously failing school in a disadvantaged community to great success and under its subsequent leadership is now one of the highest performing schools in the city. He has a reputation for the practical strategies he shares with staff from primary through to FE and sixth form colleges. His book on using principles rather than fixed methods to construct policies in 2002 sold over 50k copies and his more recent publications have updated them using evidence-informed principles.
