Initially 2 weeks of work experience prior to the beginning of my UHI AT course 2018- led to continued part-time work and training both within the office and remotely.Throughout my time at Micmac I have taken on many roles; building and land surveying, office work, digitalising of hand-drawn building information drawings, AutoCAD drafting, concept sketching, development of new designs, 3D modeling, digital rendering, online application submissions, and construction drawing plotting. Additionally participating, while training, in calculations for U-values, air rate changes, SAP cals and daylight analyses (to name a few). Work ranging in detail for respective project objectives whether- Planning Applications, Building Warrant Approvals, or Construction Drawings in a variety of sectors from domestic home alterations, estate house renovations, new build developments, commercial facilities, and small business stores.While enjoying the work I have gained extensively beneficial knowledge for my field of study as well as first-hand experience in a successful local architectural practice that prides itself on client satisfaction and strong relationships with contractors.
