I founded The Communications Agency, the UK’s first integrated, creative marketing agency, creating campaigns for clients including British Airways, RBS, Disney, BT, American Express and Unilever.We grew the Company significantly and built a robust senior management team, enabling us to exit the business, selling to Communisis Plc (a FTSE 250).I enjoy helping to nurture and develop talent and watch people thrive. I have mentored literally hundreds of executives to Board and Chief Executive level over a 30-year period. I have held a number of non-exec and consultancy roles including Chairman of a global film publicity agency, consultant at JK Rowling’s rights management agency, and I am an active investor in, and mentor to several early-stage businesses. My other real passion has been creating a huge mental health campaign - Here4You - to help the many young people struggling with serious issues.A live ‘TV’ broadcast was streamed into every school in the UK - at exactly the same moment. Now viewed by over 1m schoolchildren. The film was hosted by Roman Kemp.The primary objective of the campaign is to signpost where immediate help is available. We have brought together leading youth mental health charities - Place2Be, YoungMinds, TheMix, Shout, Mind and Joe’s Buddy Line.The campaign has been sponsored by The Walt Disney Company and The Mirror, Capital, BBC, itvX and Vulcan have all supported us.
