• Worked within the Westinghouse SMR project team from initiation of the project to facilitate manufacturability, develop sourcing plans and to identify potential suppliers for plant equipment, module fabrication, transportation and on-site erection. The scope also included transportation planning, cost estimate preparation and project schedule development.• Led and mentored the supply chain management team embedded in the SMR development group within the Westinghouse Research and Technology organization. • Led the effort to develop sourcing plans and identify the potential domestic supply base. Established requirements for major engineering service contracts to support SMR design activities. Negotiated and placed those contracts which were to provide technical resources for support of modular design, area-based design, balance-of-plant design and structural design and analysis.• Led Westinghouse efforts to drive SMR related economic development and job creation within the State of Missouri where it was expected that the first SMRs were to be built. This was a commitment to the customer (Ameren Missouri) and involved working closely with Ameren and the State of Missouri Department of Economic Development to bring new jobs into the state and to expand the scope of existing manufacturers.

Initial responsibilities included: (1) assisting in proposal preparation and successful negotiation for supply of equipment and technology transfer to the Chinese customer (SNPTC) for four AP1000 advanced nuclear power plants and subsequent implementation support, (2) assisting in establishment and execution of the supply chain management function for supply of components for AP1000 nuclear plants and (3) support of proposals and negotiations for new power plant contracts (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).

Orlando, Florida Area

Formed a biotechnology company after obtaining an exclusive technology license from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Operated as CEO of the company. The product was a biosurfactant. Enabled the development of an oil tank cleaning process based on the highly effective biosurfactant. Obtained EPA approval of the chemistry and application of the biosurfactant as a pesticide. Was awarded the 2004 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award by the US EPA.

Orlando, Florida Area

Managed an organization of 240 personnel with eight direct reports. Directed supply chain management, multi-factory planning integration for headquarters and six manufacturing plants for manufacture of gas and steam turbines and electrical generators. Managed outsourced plant materials equipment activity including source quality assurance. Was also responsible for a fast response spare parts warehouse and associated logistics management. Led a tri-lateral activity (Westinghouse, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Fiat Avio) to share technology and coordinate and optimize sourcing of materials and components for gas turbine licensed manufacture.

Columbia, South Carolina Area

Managed staff of 60 personnel with seven direct reports. Directed plant production loading (nuclear fuel), materials sourcing and production planning and control, as well as the industrial engineering, inventory, transportation and uranium management functions. Also led a quality team that contributed to winning of the first Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award by the Westinghouse Commercial Nuclear Fuel Division.

Managed a staff of 35 personnel with 4 direct reports with responsibility for the cost and schedule control (validated DOE CS2 system) and quality management of the design and construction of the Clinch River Breeder Reactor Plant Project.

Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Managed a staff of 12 direct reports. Directed advanced nuclear breeder reactor enclosure system design and other major reactor component design programs as well as sourcing and manufacturing.

Managed a staff of 10 direct reports. Directed naval reactor plant fluid system component design, test, procurement, manufacture, installation and technical field support.

Managed a staff of 8 direct reports with responsibility to provide technical support to the operating fleet on issues with Westinghouse-supplied reactor plant valves and auxiliary equipment.
