- Responsible for the surveying, installation and commissioning of microwave radios within the UK and the surveying and installation of STP systems Worldwide. This was completed as a senior lead engineer often over-seeing multiple installations.- Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office applications and various user interfaces for microwave radios.- Created generic company reports for recording information for both STP and microwave installations.- Management of installation materials and equipment, in stock and job specific.- Line of Sight surveying.- Proposed radio installation site surveying.- Testing and maintenance of microwave circuits.- Installation and commissioning of microwave links including: -PCOM - Nera – Harris – NEC Pasolink – MNI - Ceragon – AXR - NEC NEO - Ericsson Mini-link TN – NSN Flexipacket - Siae ALS- Installation and maintenance of Unlicensed Microwave systems including: -Alvarion – Motorola – Orthogon – Infinet- Hardware, software and capacity upgrades of existing microwave systems.- Installation and maintenance of remote link management.- Installation of laser links.- Rigging of antennas, up to 2.4m, with associated feeders and connectors.- Cabinet mounting and installation of equipment suites within a switch room environment.- D.C. power and earthing installation.- Structured data cabling at both 75Ohm and 120Ohm coaxial, cat5e, cat6e, fiber and multi-core E1 cable.- Data cable termination including Krone, Pouet, RJ45 and wire-wrap.- Coaxial cable terminations BNC and Type 43.- Installation and hardware testing of Tekelec STP system.- Other activities conducted on STP systems other than installation include, software upgrades, hardware upgrades of boards, upgrade of power distribution units, as well as integration of expansion racks into live systems.
