• Served as key leader of the Corporate Quality and Continuous Improvement team charged with formulating strategic direction and vison and devising business development initiatives consistent with overall strategy. • Developed and implemented the quality and continuous improvement strategy for (5) unique manufacturing sites that produced both chemical (granular and liquid fertilizers and pesticides products) and durable goods (spreaders, applicators, water filtration and hydroponic growing units) • Led a team of 40+ associates across all manufacturing locations. Reviewed current skill sets, determined developmental needs of direct reports to maintain a technically competent staff.• Developed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards for each facility built around costs of poor quality and executed continuous improvement solutions for each. • Represented SMG as a board member for the Center of Operational Excellence at the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University thus growing SMG’s participation in the center year over year. • Monitored compliance for manufacturing plants against relevant FIFRA and State regulations through the Scotts Quality Management System.
