Senior Preconstruction Manager - Lead Estimator
CurrentAs a client focused preconstruction manager with an owners mentality, I work directly with clients, architects, and subcontractors to achieve the goal of a successful and profitable project. I work directly with clients to determine their project needs, desires, and budget requirements and help them make sound decisions with early budgeting, timeline, and design suggestions.When design services are required, I work with the client to select the appropriate designers and engineers for the project. Throughout the design process, I perform constructability reviews, cost estimates, obtain subcontractor input, and offer value engineering suggestions to keep projects in budget. I develop final project costs using my construction knowledge and relationships with a vast pool of quality subcontractors. I analyze construction plans and subcontractor quotes to insure the design intent is met, a quality product will be delivered, and the right subcontractors are used so the project stays on budget. My clients schedule is paramount. I develop long lead material procurement strategies and work directly with subcontractors and suppliers to shorten lead times. I collaborate with the project managers and superintendents developing project schedules and determining supervision requirements so the clients schedule is made and budget is maintained.Throughout the construction phase of the project I assist the operations team with budget and subcontractor issues and work with the client to answer any questions or concerns until the project is completed.From the project inception to final completion, I work with a team of estimators, designers, project accountants, project managers, and superintendents to complete the project on time and on budget while maintaining profit margins and helping our company grow.
