Focus on international growth. Record in getting new customer projects, factory expansion in Sweden to support coming growth, a joint-venture developed in Lithuania to support customers with chrome plated plastic parts, a market entry in Mexico done through an acquisition of a company in the automotive industry and a market entry in China done through a greenfield start-up driven by taken local customer projects. Coming organic growth secured and a strong foundation set to support further international growth.

Mix of responsibilities related to areas like Defa WarmUp, Defa PowerSystems and China operations- Sales development in Europe and Asia through a distribution network, retailers, installers and OEM- Development and introduction of new conceptual idea like remote control (smartphone APP) of different products like heating, alarm and battery charging for cars, cabins and boats- Development and introduction of battery chargers systems- Implementation of structural changes achieving large cost reduction by re-organization, consolidation and closing of sales and product development sites in Norway, Denmark and Sweden as well as building up capabilities of R&D and manufacturing in China and local supply chain

Greenfield start-up of DEFA China- Negotiation with authorities, setting legal structure, tax holiday etc- Implementation of a R&D center, cooperation with local Technical Schools and development of new products- Product standard cost reduction by building up a supply chain in China as well as Manufacturing capabilities and transferring the production from Europe to China- Full installation of a new factory including PCBA production, plastic injection molding machines, ultra sonic machines, different soldering stations, cable assembly, product assembly and supporting test systems/equipment (high degree of internal processing)- Implementation of ERP system as well as financial, quality and environment systems

Advisor to a start-up company

In parallel to my responsibilities as Logistics Manager (logistics, purchasing, sourcing, planning and warehouses) at one of Powerwave’s larger sites I was responsible for building up a supply chain in Asia and transferring the production from Sweden to China.
