• Leads the department by defining objectives, setting priorities, and performing technical duties that drive successful project completion and align with the College’s strategic planning goals
• Responsible for network and infrastructure technologies which includes local/wide area network, network hardware/firmware, remote access, network services/applications, network security, and Internet access
• Works with the user community to evaluate current operations practices and uses these evaluations to insure the continued effectiveness and efficiency of the network resources
• Ensures that the performance, availability and security of all systems are monitored
• Identify the problems preventing the advancement of the systems and either develops a remedy to these problems or seeks assistance to resolve the problems
• Plans the evolution of the infrastructure and, in particular, will plan the acquisition of additional capacity in accordance with needs of the College
