Senior Network Engineer – It
Responsible for the build, configuration and operation of the network infrastructure that encompasses one of the world leaders in betting and gaming. Built & deployed the network infrastructure composed of Cisco switches, routers and firewalls used in data centers across the country allowing for the expansion of gaming / sports betting into multiple states. Day-to-day support of the network infrastructure and support of user requests and issues.

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, I moved back into a role of being a key technical contributor. I supported AT&T labs security/network infrastructure for the AT&T Integrated Cloud (AIC), securing the AIC underlay and cloud tenants. I was also the primary individual responsible for the Redmond Lab operations, administration and management (OA&M) network, ensuring secure connectivity to Internet, Intranet, and remote labs vital to all mobility, AIC, and FirstNet testing.

Supported AT&T Mobility Labs’ data IP networks/security infrastructure. I was the manager responsible for the lab OA&M/Bearer Packet Core networks, and supported over 500 network elements including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and terminal/access servers. My position allotted me the opportunity to stay technically involved in the day-to-day operations of the lab, as well as provide technical guidance in the designing, securing and management of the network. During this period, I played a key role in the redesign of the lab’s OA&M network with the deployment of Cisco’s next generation platform and the latest Checkpoint firewall appliances to ensure our customers had a solid foundation to support and manage their platforms.

Designed, maintained, and managed the ATM Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) core, and successfully integrated multiple UMTS platforms including MGWs, SGSNs, and RNCs onto the UMTS ATM network. One of my biggest accomplishment at the time was the redesign and upgrade of the lab’s UMTS ATM core, with the implementation of an OC48 backbone. As a Principal Member, I was also working very closely with the Mobility architecture teams to integrate new products and services into the lab network prior to their deployment into the production environment.
